Comments:

HINGES LIKE THIS TAKES OUR HOUSE BACK OVER A HUNDRED YEARS TO ITS ORIGINAL BEAUT Y

3-1/2"" steeple Tip Bronze Hinges

Comments:

Nicely compliments original ones.

a nice option

Comments:

I was looking for an unlaquered brass to match the hinges in my 100 year old house. I ordered the Brass Ager along with the unfinished brass hinges and was able to achieve the perfect ""old hardware"" look. The pre-finished hinges (antique brass and oil-rubbed bronze) weren't quite what I was looking for. The unlacquered brass was the perfect alternative.

A perfect, beautiful match.

Comments:

Beautiful, heavy, a perfect match to the century-old hinges in the house. Completely pleased with item, price, and shipping.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

Comments:

Looks beautiful on my screen door. They are perfect on my 130 year old house. The craftsmanship is beautiful. They will be loved for years to come!

All are different sizes, very frustrating

Comments:

The quality of these hinges has plummeted. Out of the six i got, half were different sizes ranging from 1.400 to 1.475. Extremely frustrating. Ended up hand chiseling all of them and havingbt label each pocket and hinge so they dont get mixed up. I build doors for a livng and have installed 100s of hinges and while these look incredible, the quality is poor.

Antique Hinges on our Old House

Comments:

Our house is 98 years old. Some of the brass hinges had been painted over by previous owners. I bought a sold brass, slightly ornate pair on one of the more visible doors in the downstairs. They are perfect (the door actually swings better) and are reminiscent of when the house was built in 1923. I will be buying more for other doors!

Beats ""Home Desperate"" hinge any time!

Comments:

Readers; This writer is replacing the UGLY circa 1950 hinges some noob put on the 1890 +or- original interior door to my house. This style is ""Eastlake"" in appearance, and works great to finish the look of the door. Next up, 'when the money tree blooms again' is to buy 04 sets more[ and some rim lock locksets} for the other doors. These are very fine hinges; the screws come from ""Won Tons Pot Metal Screw Works"". IF you are careful, they will work, just once. Be safe, and get some good ones. In the choice of the two--hinge or screws, I would rather the screws be inferior. In sum this Item is a vast improvement in appearance over the current 'off the shelf' hinge.

Beautiful and just that extra detail that makes a project

Comments:

Bought these door hinges in Oil-Rubbed Bronze to finish the look of our restoration in a 1890 Italianate brick home. Just the thing we were looking for. The detail is wonderful. It really made the project feel special.

Beautiful but not without problems.

Comments:

The house of antiques stamp on the back side shows when mounted which detracts from the beauty of this product. Also, during the finishing process, they were so aggressively sanded and buffed that they lost all of there tolerances and flatness. This creates a wavy finish and thickness variances on the overall piece .
