Painstakingly recreated from an antique original, our Ovolo Mortise-Lock Set with Colored Fluted Crystal Glass Knobs adds instant elegance to your doors. Inspired by a circa 1900, neo-classical design, each back plate features a vintage egg and dart border, while crystal glass knobs offer a pop of color. This exceptional set is forged in solid brass, lending to its crisp pattern detail. Made to the highest standards, this lock guarantees trouble-free operation and reliable privacy.

Door set dimensions: Knobs measure 2" in diameter. Back plates: 7 1/8" H x 2 5/8" W.

Mortise lock dimensions: Backset is 2 1/4". Lock case: 4" H x 3" W x 5/8" thick. Lock face plate: 6" H x 7/8" W. Strike plate: 4" H x 7/8" W. Standard door range: 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick.

Hardware Tip

Mortise Lock: Old style box lock that is installed into a deep pocket or “mortise” in the edge of the door. Generally, the mortise lock houses both the latch and dead bolt in one unit.

Excellent, exactly what we were looking for.

Comments:

Relatively easy to install in existing mortise cut door that had later been cut to accept modern hardware. The faceplate sufficiently covered the 2"" cut out for the new style hardware.
