Description

Painstakingly recreated from an antique original, our Ovolo Door Set with Matching Knobs adds instant elegance to your doors. Inspired by a circa 1900, neo-classical design, each back plate and knob features vintage egg and dart borders, along with solid-brass forging for crisp pattern detail. Enduring quality, simple installation, and our five-year warranty make this an excellent choice for restoration and new construction.

Door set dimensions: Doorknobs: 2 1/4" D. Back plates: 7 1/8" H x 2 5/8" W.

Latch dimensions: Latch case: 7/8" diameter. Face plate: 2 1/4" H x 1" W.
Standard door range: 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick.

Privacy
Latch and lock - This set has a privacy pin next to the inside knob or lever which is pushed in to lock. The door is unlocked by turning the knob or lever on the inside and can also be unlocked from the outside by pushing a small screwdriver through the emergency release hole. Typically found on bedroom or bathroom doors.

Hardware Tip

I bought several more after the first install

Comments:

This knob has a quality feel and the installation instructions are excellent. It retrofitted perfectly into my existing door. The appearance of the aged brass finish is superior to what you find in the big box stores. Excellent attention to detail in the packaging and the item arrived in perfect condition. Time will tell about the quality but the knob feels very solid.

Knobs that look truly vintage

Comments:

My builder is extremely slow, so the knobs I purchased have not been installed yet. Because of this I cannot comment on how well or smoothly they work. I think and hope they will be fine. Though they were VERY expensive, they are very heavy and solid. I got them in the Timeless Bronze finish. These knobs look like they could have been found in the house when it was built 80 - 100 years ago.

Replacing old Door Hardware

Installed this hardware to match existing hardware in this old house, rather than carve out a pre-hung door for the original mortise assembly
