Classic Solid Brass Thumbturn Privacy Door Bolt

I bought 3 thumbturn locks for my sons 1930 Tudor style house. The doors still have the original skeleton key, glass knob hardware. The original color was brass but it has tarnished so the antique brass looks perfect with the other hardware!

The latch compliments the expensive reproduction morticed lockset with porcelain knob on a solid wood 4 panel bathroom door. My customer didn't want the grandkids losing the skeleton keys so this thumb turn latch provided an elegant privacy solution. The 1 inch bore MUST be square and true or the latch won't throw smoothly and careful you don't blow out the faces of a 1 3/8 inch thick door.

The addition of this lock eased my wife's concerns, original lock on the bathroom door could not be opened from the outside. She was always concerned one of our young children would lock them selves in the bathroom and then need help. Well worth the price to remove her concerns.
