Very dissapointed that this is an Emtek product and would have appreciated that being disclosed on your website. That way I could have made the decision whether it was worth purchasing or not as Emtek is known for poorly manufactured products. The receiver opening on the strike plate was extremely oversized, which defeats the purpose of having a strike plate for the bolt. My customer is not happy.
Attractive
Comments:
The latch compliments the expensive reproduction morticed lockset with porcelain knob on a solid wood 4 panel bathroom door. My customer didn't want the grandkids losing the skeleton keys so this thumb turn latch provided an elegant privacy solution. The 1 inch bore MUST be square and true or the latch won't throw smoothly and careful you don't blow out the faces of a 1 3/8 inch thick door.
Awesonme door bolt

I used this to fill a hole from an existing lock on an old door I am installing in a new home. This was the perfect size and great as it is going on a powder room door! This allows the user to lock the door from the inside only. Looks great as the finish matches my other door hardware in the home.
beautiful product wish it fit!

The description of this product could be better. Not clear what the size of face plate is. I thought it was 2 3/4"" across it not, only about 1 1/2"". The pdf of specs is not for this product it is for a square/rectangular version so it was not helpful when I was looking to purchase. It is beautiful otherwise and I so wish it had been larger and fit the existing hole, I am trying to replace a keyed deadbolt on an interior door.
Does not fit 1 3/8"" door.

""Verified Reply - Tom Yes, I can confirm this Thumb Turn Privacy Door Bolt - 2 3/8"" Backset will work for a 1 3/8"" thick door"" I got the above answer when I specifically asked if it would fit an 1 3/8"" door. It doesn't fit as designed. I'm making it work with a little redesign. If you don't have the tools, patients or time to mess with modifications don't buy this for a 1 3/8"" door. There were two different descriptions on the site. One said it would fit doors 1 1/2"" to 2"" thick and in the Q&A it says 1 3/8"" to 1 3/4"". That's why I asked the question in the first place.
Easy,peasy!

We have an old home, built in the late 1800's, and needed a door lock for the downstair powder room. The lock was perfect, and its patina matched existing original hardware, so it looks like the latch belongs on the door. If you can install a door handle, this is a no-brainer.
Good quality, good product
Comments:
This is a great product but make sure your interior door is a full 1 3/8 inches thick. My door was closer to 1 1/4 inches and I had to make gaskets to fit behind the interior rosette to keep the lock from fitting sloppy.
Great product once you know what it does

These are thumb screw hinges. You use them to lock a door that has a passage way lock that you would like to lock like a bedroom or bath. I have a rental house and did not want the door knobs that you push with a button to lock. People don't understand how to use them all the time and little kids might get locked in and they are very hard to unlock and usually require a special key. This saves the problem. You can open them with a screw driver or any straight edge. They look really nice and are code.
I liked the product but might search for a different brand
Comments:
I like the design and weight for a thumb lock and the finish matches our hinges and glass door knobs. I wish they had included a door install template to help get the holes aligned before drilling. Most locksets provide one and the template they did provide wasn't very helpful. It required that I used a T-square and measure carefully to get the holes drilled for installation
