Transitional Victorian Mechanical Door Bell In Solid Brass

We have a 1924 bungalow located in a historic district of tampa. It's been beautifully restored and we desperately needed a doorbell but could never put a modern wireless one up. We found this one and got it in the brushed nickel to match our other finishes on the house. We were beyond pleased when we opened the box. It was so beautiful! My husband got right to work. The sound is loud enough inside that you should hear it from any part of the house. Most people know what to do when they see the turn but a few have no clue. We quickly ordered another one for our side door and again it arrived quick and was easily put up. we love it!

The thru hole needs to be enlarged to 3/4"" or slightly larger to accommodate the cotter pin. I replaced it with a smaller pin then I could use a 1/2"" bit and counter sink the hole a little so the cotter pin would not bind up.

We had an old one on the door and it quit working so this was a replacement. I am very pleased with it!!

Our 1840 home lacked a door bell on the rear door. The door knocker was not loud enough if someone arrived at the rear door. The brass mechanical door bell fit the needs perfectly and can be heard even in a front room with the vacuum cleaner in use. The only negative comment would be that there were no installation instructions provided. Fortunately, the bell mechanism is very simple and required only minor alterations to the door in order to accommodate the cotter pin holding the outside twist key.

This doorbell has a great sounding ring and made very solid. I bought it for my Grandmother and she loves the look which is much more plain than most.

Very nice bell. Definitely reccomend this product. If you need a non-electronic bell option this is a good choice. Definitely much more attractive and unique than anything that you could pick up at big box stores. Bell is big - make sure you check dimensions & see if it will fit on your door.

Door Bell is well made and looks great on both sides of the door.

I wish the instructions were more detailed. After drilling the hole, I realized that I needed to carve out a small circle around the mechanism so it could turn smoothly.
