Transitional Victorian Mechanical Door Bell In Solid Brass

The bell on the door of our freight dock was very undependable due to batteries needing replacement and short circuit during rains. This mechanical ""in the door"" bell now works great and dependably.

Grew tired of replacing battery operated doorbells and wanted a better solution. Found it at this website. Very pleased with the quality of the product and ease of installation. Was very pleased to find these mechanical doorbells to add a vintage touch to our home. Would have liked to find them with a craftsman/prairie style but the current ones will do. Adds a fun unique touch.

The cotter pin which holds the handle in place sticks out too much. The pin requires a large opening to allow the handle to turn. Surely there is a better way to keep the handle from falling away from the door bell. Otherwise it looks great and requires no electricity.

Replacing broken doorbell, which aided ease of installation. A little surprised there was no documentation or directions at all, but it's not rocket science. I would imagine most people would have to cut the stem down to fit, but the rest is pretty easy.

The doorbell is beautiful. The detail on it is very defined, very ornate. The outside key is very ornate as well. It makes a very nice statement on our home. My two year old granddaughter absolutely loves to ring the bell when she comes over.
