Description

This authentic reproduction Right-Hand Flush Hoosier Cabinet Latch is an excellent choice for new cabinets, or as a replacement for a worn or damaged piece. Made of solid brass, it's available in your choice of an unlacquered brass or polished-nickel finish. This set comes complete with matching slotted screws.

Dimensions. Latch: 1 5/8" H x 3/4" W. Handle: 2 1/8" L. Projection: 7/8". Catch: 1 5/8" H x 3/4" W. Projection: 1 1/4".

Hardware Tip

Cast: Process where molten brass, iron or other metals are poured and formed in molds often made of sand. The products made in this manner are often thick and heavy.

Antique latch for an Antique Bath

I am a happy customer of House of Antique Hardware. I recently remodeled my bathroom in a 93 year old home but wanted to keep the antique aspects. The original latch was broken and I couldn't find anything of quality to replace it. It's amazing how the quality of the antique products is so much more substantial than what can be bought in a hardware store today. I tried a number of them before finding this latch online at House of Antique Hardware and it has the heft and solidity of the other hardware in this home.

hoosier cabinet latches

ordered 3 latches. 2 have performed well and have a solid feel with the working of the latch. the remaining latch has quite a bit of excess play. since these are decorative latches on built in china cabinets in my dining room, they are not opened/closed often, so it's been fine. but if you were going to install these for frequent access, the loose fit might become problematic.
