Description

This authentic reproduction Left-Hand Flush Hoosier Cabinet Latch is an excellent choice for new cabinets, or as a replacement for a worn or damaged piece. Made of solid brass, it's available in your choice of an unlacquered brass or polished-nickel finish. This set comes complete with matching slotted screws.

Dimensions. Latch: 1 5/8" H x 3/4" W. Handle: 2 1/8" L. Projection: 7/8". Catch: 1 5/8" H x 3/4" W. Projection: 1 1/4".

Hardware Tip

Cast: Process where molten brass, iron or other metals are poured and formed in molds often made of sand. The products made in this manner are often thick and heavy.

bass hoosier latch

Comments:

Small cabinet 24x24x32 made f single wide board rough cut white pine. Would have liked to have a longer handle as is typical of icebox hardware but that is not available in a flush mount. I used a torch to heat the unfinished brass to give ita darker appearance to go with the 6-inch iron strap hinges I used on it. All-in-all it went well and the purchaser was very pleased.

Hoosier Latches

Refinished a 1919 wood icebox for my daughter's wedding present.Golden oak in color. I left some of the petina finish, put 8 coats of poly-varnish and installed the latches and new repleca hinges.It will be used as a wine & licquer cabnet It looked great.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LATCH

I ordered the wrong side and had to return. It was easy! Then got the right ones. I love everything about this latch- it is shiney, comes in many finishes, easy to install, favorite part is that is is simple and will not break.

My Mistake

Comments:

It would have been perfect but I ordered the wrong size and rather then return it I just used it for something else. I needed a smaller one but found what I was looking for at our local Marine hardware outfitters.
