Description

This authentic reproduction Hoosier-style reversible "H" latch is an excellent choice for new cabinets, or as a replacement for a worn or damaged piece. Made of stamped brass, just like the antique originals, it's available in your choice of an unlacquered brass or polished-nickel finish. This set comes complete with one flush catch and one 3/8" offset catch.

Dimensions. Latch: 2 1/4" H x 1 1/8" W. Projection: 3/8". Catch: 1 1/2" L x 5/16" W. Projection: 7/16" (flush) 11/16" (offset).

Hardware Tip

Offset means that the surface of the cabinet door projects out from the cabinet frame, usually 3/8" or 1/2". Offset hinges and latches are surface mounted to the door and the frame of the cabinet.

Lever handle was not of the weight of the original. It seemed thin and flimsy. Also the operation was stiff and difficult to oparate.

Replacing My Worn Latches

I purchased a used Hoosier cabinet from an individual at a real reasonable price. The only thing wrong with the cabinet was the three latches were worn & not working properly. I replaced them with the new latches and now my cabinet is complete. I am thankful that I was able to purchase replacement hinges from your company, as there is no where locally that they are sold. Thank you very much!

Solid Brass Reversible ""H"" Hoosier Latch

This latch replaced a broken Hoosier latch on a very old kitchen storage cabinet. It is the same size, but more complex, than the other latches on the same cabinet. But it does fit (more or less) and keeps the door closed, while looking OK. So I'm keeping it. Shipping was too expensive!
