4" Universal Doorknob Spindle - 20 TPI

Very reasonably priced, allowed my to repair my 150 yr old doorknob. Exactly what was needed.

The crystal knobs on my antique mortise lock doors kept falling off and I was tired of tightening the tiny screws only to have them come loose again. These spindles solve that problem thanks to the hole drilled in the spindle. Now, all of my knobs are attached and working perfectly. Honestly, I don't know what I would do without House of Antique Hardware. I love antiques and I love that they always have the parts I need in order to keep my vintage lovelies in perfect working order.

I hope I can return it for an exchange or refund.

I didn't end up using this, but it was exactly what I ordered - a good quality extra spindle.

I purchased one of these on a whim because I ordered a bunch of knobs and wasn't sure what kind of hardware I needed to make them fit in our modern doors, I should have bought more, they work great!

I've been collecting antique door knobs for years and it is because of these Universal Spindles I now can use them on my doors. They are tapped for set screws AND threaded so I can use my glass AND my porcelain knobs at the same time (one on each side).

Restoring a 1920's cottage, some of the vintage doorknobs I had had openings in their shafts too small for the old door spindles still in the cottage - so HAH to the rescue. It's great that HAH has spindles of several lengths, and tapped (for set screws). I really couldn't have completed the job without these spindles. [Don't forget the spindle washers!]

The product was fine but the shipping was much too high.
