woked perfectly
Comments:
I Iive in a 90 yr old house with original doors but not all original door knobs. Trying to restore some of the knobs to working order has been a challenge because the configuration of the spindles I need don't match up to what is currently used. This spindle worked perfectly.
Great for old door sets
Comments:
It works really well with threaded vintage knobs
Spindle for door knob. Well-made, delivered promtly.

Much easier getting it than going to a store.
Simple solution
Comments:
The standard bar does not have holes in it. The screws loosen and the door knob falls off leaving you stuck in the bathroom yelling for help. This bar solves that problem. It is the way my original door knobs were made.
Bummer ….but my fault

I have an old house (1902) and an old front door. I bought great, attractive replacement doorknobs for the door but the spindle that came with them seemed a bit short to properly grip the knobs so I decided to get a longer spindle. The length was good but the middle just spun around and did not engage the latch so if you closed the door you weren't able to reopen it. The solution: push in and latch and tape it to the door. Knobs then just serve as ""pulls"" and the door is secured by the deadbolt latch.
Excellent quality, just as expected from this seller.

Easy restoration of old mortise locks.
I would recommend

Needed this to continue to use mortise style door knobs from the 1930's, worked out perfectly.
Perfect replacement spindle
Comments:
Got this spindle as a replacement for a twist on one. Love the fact that it has the holes to secure the knob in place as I have had issues with the other kind. Would recommend and buy again
Good effort

did not fit -- ordered a longer version from the company -- I remain hopeful
Just the thing to replace old spindle.
