Description

Description

These standard 10-24 set screws are used with vintage style knobs mounted on straight, tapped spindles. The screw slides through the knob and turns directly into the threaded hole on the spindle (not to be confused with headless set screws used for tightening knobs onto threaded spindles). The set contains enough screws to mount four knobs onto spindles. Made of brass-plated steel.

These are a #10 screw, 3/8" in length, with 24 threads per inch.

Great Company Fast Shipping Great Product

Replacing all the door locks in a 1887 Queen Anne with original era mortice locks and door knobs

It is good to have a place to get period parts for old homs

Comments:

Nice products and made well

Pretty good screw

Comments:

It's tempting to turn the knob over so the screw hole is up, making it easier to drive the slotted set screw. But grand daddy would say that's for amateurs. They're good screws that fit well. And I got a couple extra in the packet so I got that going for me. 5 Stars in spite of the slot.

Nope

Comments:

Was not the size they alleged it was, fell right through the knob

Was lost but they were found

Comments:

I searched high ad low at hardware stores restoration stores to no avail the only place that had these screws was here and they fit like a glove

Great replacement for a missing original

Comments:

Great replacement since the original was missing. Too bad the split spindle needs to be re-tapped for it to work because the wrong screw was used to replace it.

Perfect, exactly what I needed

Comments:

Very easy to order, exactly what I needed. We just moved into an older house and a few of the doorknobs had worn out set screws. These fit perfectly.

Perfect replacements for lost hardware for 1890s doorknobs

Comments:

Home was built in 1890. A fellow lost the set screws for the original cast iron doorknobs when he took down the interior doors, stripped many layers of paint and re-stained them! He claimed replacements were not available and offered to replace the knobs. The clerk at the local Ace Hardware determined the screw thread that we needed, and we found House of Antique Hardware with a quick internet search. SO DELIGHTED to bring the doors back to original look. All we need is to paint the heads with black paint to conceal the brass color.

First class screws!

Hard to find products that 'fit' in my 120 year old house. Need to order several other items!!
