Pair of Round Brass Door Knobs in Four Classic Finishes

We use these items as standard common hallway door knobs. They are solid and a good reproduction of the era that our building was constructed. The finish wears down eventually, but does not effect the general look in a bad way. In some cases the mortise or passage mechanism has to be retrofitted to accommodate these new door knob sets, and requires some skill by the installer.

I purchased a 100 year old home and most of the door knobs had the finish worn off and the screw threads stripped. These replacements are much more adjustable than the knobs that came with my house. They also feel like they are higher quality. I just need to order more for the rest of my doors. I purchased the satin nickel and it looks great.

These knobs replaced many mismatched doorknob in a craftsman house I'm remodeling. I also used the matching back plates; both look wonderful on the repainted doors.

I'm pleased with how well these knobs blend in with the rest of my original door hardware.They are easy to adjust and work perfectly.Better than original.

This was for an original French door with an old mortise lock...the door is from 1925..the new door knob and backplate I purchased together are perfect...

Because of the design, as most are like this; it can be hard to get the right slack and have the set screw in a good place. This can be addressed with thin washers that go between a knob and the inner mechanism. They won't be seen and allow the right rotation. Nylon washer are good so there's no unwanted rubbing.

Let me start by saying the door knobs work great. I purchased one in March '23 to see what it was like and it seemed fine so I ordered 4 more in Apr. '23. Shortly after the new ones arrived, the original one started having problems with the finish. It is very noticable and I will probably end up sanding and painting the knob to fix the problem. I only installed 2 of the 4 I purchased in April. One is on a closet door that I never use and it shows no signs of finish problems. The other door is used daily and now a month later the knob is starting to show problems with the finish. I realize I could return the 2nd set of knobs on the 45 days/no questions asked policy but then I would have to find something else. I will keep them but I would not recommend them because the finish wears off very quickly.
