Pair of Round Brass Door Knobs in Four Classic Finishes

Absolutely gorgeous! We bought these in the unlacquered brass and matched them with New York back plates to replace the hodge podge of door knobs that have ended up in our 100-year-old home. Not only are they beautiful and work fantastic, but they were significantly less expensive than I thought the project was going to cost. I wish we hadn't waited so long!

Let me start by saying the door knobs work great. I purchased one in March '23 to see what it was like and it seemed fine so I ordered 4 more in Apr. '23. Shortly after the new ones arrived, the original one started having problems with the finish. It is very noticable and I will probably end up sanding and painting the knob to fix the problem. I only installed 2 of the 4 I purchased in April. One is on a closet door that I never use and it shows no signs of finish problems. The other door is used daily and now a month later the knob is starting to show problems with the finish. I realize I could return the 2nd set of knobs on the 45 days/no questions asked policy but then I would have to find something else. I will keep them but I would not recommend them because the finish wears off very quickly.

Great product, but keep in mind that the dark bronze finish is very dark and uniform. I would have preferred a little more patina. This may change over time with use. Each set comes with a spindle and 2 knobs. Make sure you order the rosette or escutcheon that coordinates with your door thickness.

Replaced original antique door knob that finally gave out! It was here when we bought the house on the original door and I've lived here for 45 years.

The knobs were just now as heavy or as beefy as the originals. Probably doesn't make a difference. But it does to me. Just less substantial than it could be. Really, though, that's being fussy. They are really nice. And sturdy

I have been looking for a small, antique doorknob to fit on a 1908 door in my home. The previous owner put an antique jewel/crystal knob on that was too big and wouldn't allow the door to close. The brass knob I ordered is good quality, really attractive and very nice weight, however, it does NOT fit the opening for a 5/8 shank. It is actually 9/16, and it will not slide through a 5/8 opening. Maybe I got a wonky one and I'm not savvy enough to make it work. Sadly, I have to return this and continue my search, but I will buy from this site again because the actual product is really nice.

Replaced several mismatched door knobs with these. Love the color/finish and quality. Very happy with them.
