Stamped Brass New York Back Plate With Keyhole

I can't say anything bad about these stamped all brass back plates. They are strudy and fit the orginal screw holes. They are what I hoped for. My original door knobs were a bit to big to fit these back plates, but it was time to replace the old door knobs with new anyway.

It seems to be good quality, but it is not the color I expected when I chose oil rubbed bronze. It is definitely only brown without even any tint of black, so it does not match my door knobs and can't be used. The color represented in the picture on the website is not accurate. This door plate is brown. It would cost more in shipping charges than I paid for the doorplate so I won't be returning the product even though I can't use it as planned.

The original back plates that were on my doors for over 80 year were looking rough. So I decided to make a change and glad I did, these back plates are Beautiful far better than what I anticipated clean lined in elegant.

I replaced a very old version of this exact product that was in brass finish (very tarnished) with an updated sat nickel finish and it looks terrific!

I found the product of high quality, gauge,finish. perfect for replacement on a 1920's chestnut door.
