New York Large-Plate Mortise Entry Set In Forged Brass
Description
Dimensions. Interior & exterior door plates: 8" H x 2 1/2" W and projects 1/4". Knobs: 2 1/4" diameter.
Mortise lock dimensions: Lock case: 5 1/2" H x 13/16" T x 3 3/4" W. Lock face plate: 8" H x 1 1/4" W. The brass strike plate measures 4 7/8" tall by 1 1/4" wide with a 5/8" tongue projection. The lock is field reversible for left or right hand doors and includes a 1 1/8" keyed cylinder and three standard keys.
This lock has egress and can cause lock outs if the stop button is not disengaged when exiting the door.
This set is designed to fit doors 1 3/4" thick +/- 1/8" (range 1 5/8" to 1 7/8" ).

Purchased this to replace the front door lock on a 1916 craftsman bungalow. Fit perfectly. It did require some carving and sanding as expected. Instructions could have been better as they were one or two components without any indication on their use. Overall very happy with the lock and it's functionality.

I used this entry set to update a 77 year-old door that serves as our home's primary entrance and exit. The original brass hardware was under-sized and over-used, however this near-identical mortise replica has provided the functionality we need while preserving the historic aesthetic of our home.

I seem to always be in the middle of a renovation. Normally, I try to repair original feature in a house such as old mortise locksets. The renovation I'm currently working on caused me to look for new reproduction parts for 2 exterior doors. I was slightly hesitant to purchase online without being able to hold the lockset but took the chance. The lockset is a heavy duty, beautiful lock. I was amazed at the weight and quality of the lockset. Installation is very straightforward as with any mortise lockset. I also love the simple process to change from righthanded to lefthanded without opening the lock. Very happy with this purchase.

We needed a new Mortise entry set because the thumbturn on our original one had been broken years before. While this set is a bit smaller than our original lock, it looks beautiful and fits otherwise perfectly. We're extremely happy with it and can't wait to start using it! If only we had more doors that needed Mortise locks — I'd put this on every door!

The product looks great. It was exactly what we were looking for. I only deducted for the installation instructions. They were very confusing and we ended up installing them removing and fixing the lock before we had it installed correctly.
