Absolutely Beautiful Product

Comments:

We are delighted with this product...We almost replaced the entire door as the back plate and knob were so bad, but this solved the entire problem...and we could keep the antique door and add this wonderful piece....[...]

Finishing touch to a large restoration

Comments:

A high quality product that looks like it has always been there, which was the intent all along.

Made a huge difference...

Comments:

We replaced all of the mismatched door handles on the second floor of our 120 year old home that had original mortise lock doors. They look and feel wonderful. Also very functional and its nice to have the old fashioned feel of skeleton key lockable doors in the bedrooms. Only one minor issue during installation: if you pick anything but the polished brass finish, an additional (included) plate is required to sit on top of the default mortise lock face plate on the side of the door. While this was easy to attach, it did require carving out additional wood on the side of the door to make the face plate flush as there are essentially two faceplates in it. So make sure you own some wood carving tools if you're going to be installing these locks/handles yourself. (But you should anyways if this is DIY- regardless of model or brand when it comes to door locks.)
