Latch dimensions: Latch case: 7/8" diameter. Latch face plate: 2 1/4" H x 1" W.

This is the second set of doorknobs in this style that we've purchased from House of Antique Hardware. The first set was installed in early 2015 and has held up well. The knobs are a little more difficult to install than a typical doorknob--more moving parts--so be patient and take your time.

Just bought a home with medium-dark finished plain wood interior doors, with unattractive doorknobs. I bought one Rope Rosette Doorset with Fluted Crystal Doorknob, and absolutely love how much prettier the door looks now. The antique brass goes well with the darker finish of the door, and the crystal doorknob sparkles! Have always loved the look of the old glass doorknobs, and was very pleased with the quality and rich look of this set. (Much prettier than an authentic old set seen in an antique shop). Had to chisel just a little wood so the latch would fit in my door, but was no problem and was easy to install. I now plan to replace ALL my interior doorknobs with this one.

Was not able to use the door hole covers, was disappointed that half of the knob replacement went to waste. I put it in a laundry room door and the door was too thin to use door hole cover. Husband even called the help line but we were not able to modify it, so we had to use our old door hole cover
