These dummy shutter hinges were the perfect touch to our 1930 Cape Cod house! The previous owner had put on fixed shutters and, with other interior updates to do, we opted to use the dummy shutter dogs and hinges for the time being. They absolutely transformed the appearance of our shutters with minimal work--although more these hinges took more time than the dummy shutter dogs as there were two hinges per shutter.

Wanted custom shutters with a unique design

Nicely cast and coated. The finish has at least held up for 6 months. I used painted stainless steel screws instead of what was provided due to fear they would rust and result in stains. They are made in India but the quality and packaging are very well done.

I was so glad to find the faux hinge as I never intend to close my shutters, but wanted it look like I could - like early Colonial shutters. These were much easier to install rather than lining up real hinges.
