Description

Get the look of functional hardware with these dummy scroll shutter dogs with beveled edges. Intended for use with fixed decorative shutters (wood or vinyl), they'll give your windows an authentic appearance with a left and a right facing scroll. Made of heavy duty cast iron, galvanized and finished with a rust resistant black powder coat. These faux shutter dogs are traditionally installed close to the far edge of the shutter. The horizontal mounting tab attaches to the bottom edge of the shutter with a wood screw.

Fastener/s: #8 x 1" wood screws

Hardware Tip

Galvanized iron and steel is plated with zinc before the powder-coating is applied. This dramatically increases the rust resistance over items that are only painted or powder-coated.

Beautiful and durable

Beautiful and well-made faux shutter dogs. My contractor installed them after painting my shutters. They add just the right amount of interest to the exterior without being flashy or gaudy. I love them.

Could not be happier with this purchase !

Great product, look like the set I had in Europe ! Looked everywhere, no one here knows what they are for ? I am the only home in the development of over 200 houses with them ! My house is unique, authentic French Cottage style , these Shutter dogs were the finishing touch to the front of the house, unique, well made, heavy metal, look fantastic, could not be happier !
