love the detail these hinges (and shutterdogs) add to my home. the screws are easily stripped though! i managed but i may come to regret using them because i cant get them back out (in the event my old wood shutters need replaced down the road).

My husband built me authentic looking French shutters and I wanted them to look like they'd close. We placed them on the side and they look like working shutters from the street. I'm really pleased with quality and price.

I ordered these assuming they were 3-D. I intended to counter sink them on the sides of some fixed shutters to match the Real acme hinges on a working window...so that they projected out a bit in a bulbous fashion. They arrived & I realized they were flat. They aren't as ""real"" looking as I'd hoped since they are flat, but I installed them anyway. From the road I think it adds a finished look.

Placed the hinges on an exterior shutter

My contractor has not installed these iron elements yet since my shutters are not in yet. My concern is, there were no bolts and instructions included to install the S dogs.
