Just what I was looking for. A long, colonial looking gate hook to keep an outside door from swinging around when open. It is very well made, nice finish and authentic to the period. My only complaint was that it was not quite true - hook to eye. It needed a bit of a twist in a vice to straighten out. No biggie and would have been fine anyway, but I am a stickler! LOL

I used one to attach to an old shutter that hangs from a trellis. It keeps it from swinging in the wind
