Set of 12 Brass Plated 1/4-20 Set Screws

The screws meant I could use the door knobs I had.

These were for a replacement screw in a glass table.

A year ago I bought a 110 year old brownstone in NYC and the repairs are endless. I am thrilled to have a source of quality hardware that will work with the needs of my old home.

Bought the screws to fit my glass and brass door knobs. Says it would fit but it didn't and it would cost me more to send them back for what I paid for them.. Not getting snookered again.

I ordered these screws hoping to replace the stripped screws on my antique crystal bedroom doorknobs. They worked even better than I hoped being slightly longer than the original ones. My doorknobs work better than when we bought the house 40 years ago.

I got both sizes available hoping that one might fit some 108-year-old doorknobs that I have. One size is too big the other is too small. That's pretty much the story with this house. These screws are not expensive so it's no great loss and I knew I was taking a chance. However, if you're concerned about getting the wrong size for you door knobs, double-check your diameter and thread count. since I may never find screws that are the exact size for these knobs, I'm considering tapping out the holes to fit the 5/16"" screws. Old houses are fun!!

If you have doorknobs which require this size of set screw (1/4-20), these will work very well for you. Be sure that the holes in your doorknobs require this specific size.

These worked great for our antique glass door knobs. We are replacing all of our hollow doors with antique wood doors and antique hardware. I did have to order both sizes available and between the 2 sizes I was able to make all of the knobs function well and they look great too! This company has the best customer service too! Very helpful.

Fine screws. When twisting them clockwise I found they would move more deeply into the socket. Conversely, a counter-clockwise effort would withdraw the set screw. It pleased me that these screws performed thusly each time. I would recommend this feature in all screws and screw related technologies. They did help me to realize, though, that I have several different periods of door knobs so I will need to find set screws with a different thread size. I hope the new set screws I purchase perform this well.
