In the 19th century, plain rosettes such as these were paired with porcelain knobs on doors with rim or mortise type locks. Small and understated, they are again a popular choice for restoration or vintage new construction. Hand-finished with our living antique patina. Please note, this rosette will not work on pre-drilled doors.

Paired with the colonial door knob these rosettes look like the've always been here in our Colonial Revival Cape. The screws however are to long for our 1 5/8"" doors so I will have to replace them. Luckily it has been easy to match this antique finish on other brass pieces with the aging solution and a fine scotch-brite.
