cast iron victorian floor grates
Comments:
Undertaking the renovation of 130 year old historic home in New Orleans lower garden district nearly caused me to need the ""undertaker""! I looked high and low for authenthic appearing details and these cast iron floor registers are fabulous. I'm now 10 years into this project--which never ends- and I can tell you that the grates are as beautiful as the day they were installed. The fit was perfect. I went throught two other sets of grates purchased elsewhere before I found these online. The first were wood and were all broken in several months and the second set was brass which quickly rusted and honestly looked to shiny and gaudy to have kept anyway. If you're renovating and old home or looking for a sturdy archtechtural element in any home, I would highly recommend these. I only wish I had found them before I spent humdreds on junk.
Totally Tuscan

I have an older home and someone had cut a new hole for a cold air draft. I was very pleased to find a cast iron grate to fit and it looks great. What a difference from the new style that was there.
Amazing Heavyweight Quality Grates
Comments:
Very simple - I just wanted to get rid of some of our cheap Aluminum floor registers and replace them with something a little classier. These dropped right in and look stunning - I was hoping to attract a little less negative attention on my shoddy grates, but these have garnered compliments from all who spot them!
Very Classy

Thank you House of Antique Hardware for providing excellent products of quality that are just as good if not better than the origanal items they represent. And at a reasonable and affordable price.
Easy to intall and look original

After refinishing our kitchen, I wanted to replace cheap vents in our 1890 home with authentic looking vent covers. I liked these so much, I bought extra for other rooms.
Other uses for floor Grates
Comments:
I purchased two of these floor grates to be used as side vents for a custom cabinet. This is a floor to ceiling cabinet that houses, among other things, an area for the microwave. I placed these floor grates into either side to give proper ventilation. These exceeded my expectations in construction and appearance. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

We were refinishing our floors and the old wooden floor grates were all broken. These[...]are beautiful. With a good handiman, we had the floor openings reframed to fit the grates (that will always be required with flush mount grates) and had them installed. He was able to set the louvers into the floor and just pop the new iron grates into place. They are stunning. They look far more expensive then they actually cost.
