Very handsome and solid. And quite heavy!

Comments:

The rich saturated black finish is quite handsome, not too shiny but not too flat. I hope it will wear well over time.

Not my first buy and not my last!

Comments:

These are great! Super solid, heavy, and sturdy - and beautiful! I am slowly swapping out all of my old ones for these and they are expensive but worth every penny!

Now we need to change all our grates!!

Comments:

Sometimes I wonder why heater vents are placed in some locations! We had one, just inside the kitchen door, right in the flow of traffic - coming through the door, having to open drawers, working at the stove... I was constantly running over the thing. Well... not just me. Me PLUS a 350 lb wheelchair. We ended up breaking 3 Big Box store grates a year. After 2.5 years? There had to be a better way. This grate is gorgeous, it is substantial, it is well made. Most importantly it doesn't bend or bow when I traverse across it. Definitely getting more as we finish fixering this old house. One less repetitive problem... too bad you don't do garbage disposals ;-)

sturdey register

Comments:

efficient delivery..no issues the tub filler greatly enhances use of the clawfoot tuv which is an antique in a queen victorian home

Flexible Floor Grate

Comments:

Used the product to replace an AC ceiling vent that looked out of place. The Floor vent looks great and is not drilled for screws which allows good latitude for different installations. Cast iron drills and countersinks easily when located. Great finishing touch.

Solid, heavy, beautiful

Comments:

These are beautiful, heavy, cast iron grates that we're using to replace our floor and wall heating vents. They have a huge visual impact. I looked at many options and am very happy that I went with these.

cast iron heat grate

Comments:

finish, materials, and design were just what I was looking for. Price was reasonable for the quality. A larger range of sizes would be helpful. Cold air returns in my house need multiple pieces to fill in.

Perfect Renovation Solution

Comments:

I am renovating an older home and needed an iron grate to fit a newer vent size. Antique cast iron grates do not come in this smaller size. This item fit the bill and goes wonderfully with actual larger Victorian grates.

Solid Vents Add Style & Authenticity

Comments:

Restoration of an 18th C. tavern; utilizing authentic period pieces where possible. Register covers were of 'harware store' quality, so these are a great addition to the look and feel of the tavern room.
