Great Price And Selection
Comments:
Total remodel of our 1963 built home, original hinges were a lot better looking than anything you could get at the local box stores. House of Antique Hardware matched these pefectly in the diferent finishes we needed to match the new fixtures in both bathrooms.
Steel door hinge with ball tips
Comments:
The hinges are fine; the challenge came with trying to use the original mortised hinge spaces on a 1940s door (which were rounded)and the spaces on the door jamb. However, this is an installation problem (hanging a door) rather than product issue. I purchased the dark, oiled-bronze to match the Arts & Crafts mortised lockset. Advice was given as to the correct size of hinge for the door.
well made, fair price
Comments:
Bronze finish is easily nicked - we touched it up with brass darkening/bronzing chemical. Otherwise, nicely made hinge.
great fit for project
Comments:
these hinges helped finish off a matching set of double doors in a 1860s house and led to a large scale renovation project that has delighted the homeowner. Would highly recommend HOAH products to everyone.
Accurate and well constructed
Comments:
Finish matches other brushed nickel hardware in the project
poor finish
Comments:
Oil rubbed bronze finish looked like black spray paint.
Done with bad looking old hinges.
Comments:
These hinges were for a room in need of restoration. 1924 home with original hardware (not all premium) and a lot of work needed when redecorating (restoring). Standard hinges would work, but do not look as good or fit like the original style. The finish was perfect (satin nickel) and a fresh look compared to the steel with plated brass of the originals. Look forward to more purchases.
Good experience Overall

[...]I had bought the wrong product and the return process was not hard at all. The product was well made just not the correct thickness (my mistake).
Great hinge!

These are perfect replicas for the hinges in my 70 year old house. They match the brushed nickel hardware I'm placing throughout. Great hinge.
hot hinges
Comments:
Hard to rave about hinges. But they were impressive in heft & quality. Of the same or higher caliber than the ones that were originally installed, in 1937. Contractor & his crew admired them greatly. [...]
