I am restoring a house built in 1940. Replacing the original ball tipped hinges was required because they were badly over-painted and had rust. Happy to find these hinges after searching everywhere else for hinges that would fit our old cupboard doors. Old hinges were covered with many layers of paint and were not salvageable. These hinges fit perfectly, are heavy-duty enough to hold the big cupboard doors and are very attractive. Fast service.
