did not do the job

I stripped my brass lamp and tried painting the brass darkening solution onto the clean dry surface with only minimal changes after multiple applications. Immersing the lamp in the solution was not an option due to the wiring within the lamp. I will look for another product which might produce better results.

Product work exactly as described, quickly giving the brass a very realistic looking tarnish/aged look. NOTE, you must remove any a lacquer/protective coating from your brass, before applying this product, as the lacquer coating will prevent the ager from working on the brass (which, frankly, is exactly what the protective coating is supposed to do).

This is a great product. I bought these coat hooks for an antique wall tree. They were bright and shiny brass and I wanted to darken them. I didn't have enough of the solution to completely submerge them so I just, one at a time, kept them wet with a paint brush. It took about 5 minutes to get where I wanted them. Let the pieces dry and rubbed them down with a clean cloth. The solution will gradually darken as used, however I am keeping for future use.

I like this product but you have to get the patina dry for a half hour or more as it has a tendance to rub off right after taking it out of solution.

after searching and testing other products, this brass age toner is the best. Simple to use, fast acting, and gives the best age tone on brass. highly recommend.

Great product, hard to find, but necesary if you are in my business

The solution works great on all of the brass parts

Only needed to leave my new brass hinges in for 30 seconds and they match my existing hardware perfectly. Not sure how dark they would get if you left them in longer like the instructions state.

Product was easy to use as the first time user on my kitchen cabinet hardware.
