Description
This spring-loaded latch is typically installed at the top of the window sash and operated with a pull chain or pole-mounted transom hook (use transom chains to keep the sash from falling open). The base of the strike is mounted to the inside of the window frame and the catch portion protrudes over the sash, in order to engage the latch.

All I could hope for!

I have a home built in the 1920's and most of the original hardware was no were to be found. I didn't want just any latch that you might find at[@] I wanted something that fit with the house. I did have a couple of original latches to start my search. House of Antique Hardware had the latches that I needed. The latches were awesome! Well built and look great. These latches really look like an original part of the house.

nice piece. I just wish all parts came in all finish choices, ie. all parts in ORB or Antique Brass or etc. My chain and hinges are ORB, latch not available, so had to use AB.
