Square-cut rose head nail
Comments:
Square-cut rose head nail great choice for authentic cabinet restoration and building period cabinets with period wood...that little extra
Just like grandpa used to use
Comments:
We were hired to build multiple replacement doors for a 1770's farmhouse. The old doors were full of lead and were removed as part of the lead abatement portion of this reno. The homeowners, however, were in love with the look and feel of the old doors and wanted historically accurate reproductions. These clinch nails helped us to pull that off. I have used various clinch nails over the years and have found some to be too brittle (they crack when pounded over) and some to be too perfect looking. These were exactly the right softness of steel and had an authentic look and feel (not too perfect and not too un-perfect). Very happy with these and, more importantly, the homeowner loves the new ""old"" doors.
Reproduction Benches
Comments:
This is the only place that I have been able to find high quality nails to use in reproducing period boxes and benches.
Rosehead nails
Comments:
The Rosehead nails were perfect for my Aumbry I was making. I would highly recommend these for 1700/1800s restorations or replicas.
Cool old nails
Comments:
They look great
Nails of salvation
Comments:
Outstanding product, did not use these for the typical restoration of a floor, they were used to make Christmas ornaments to represent the crucifixation, was able to contact one of the hardware specialist and he led me to these nails as he said he sells a lot around Easter, can not speak of there durability in restoration but welded 3 nail together for the oranament and no burn through made of good material, delivery was on time as promised
Decorative but not holding power
Comments:
Had to use a hidden nail to hold light basswood, then drill and insert nail to hide fastener.
Perfect for antiques, originals or new
Comments:
I used these on a reproduction cabinetmakers chest. They are perfect for reflecting the period design, and despite not being hardened, they drove with no issue. No bent nails, and they grip tightly. Tremont nails uses materials, processes, and machines from the 1800's to make reproduction nails that are perfect for rebuilding an antique, or building a new one.
Exactly the solution I needed
Comments:
I am very attached to my wide board pine floors, all 400 sq ft of it. The floor has never been more than 100 feet from where it grew. I felled the trees, sawed them into lumber, dryed the boards for two years, and finished them. I was committed to this job. When it came time to install, I needed to have the perfect nail. I must have tried ten different nails and this was the one I used. I holds great, drives true, and self sets. I already purchased these nails for the next floor, four years down the road.
Rise head square nails are a nice touch
Comments:
Chose the basic silver on rescued 1x wood for a headboard. The nails make a great finishing touch to give the headboard the era feel I was hoping to achieve. They drive nice and hold shape. I didn't have major bending issues like I thought I would.
