A nice match to the existing
Comments:
We conserved the original sash in an early Cape Cod house and many of the old sash levers were missing or broken. These were nearly identical, but worked better.
an elegant product
Comments:
It was not clear to me that this is not a 2 piece lock--the plate is attached to the lock. It's a beautiful lock, however there is no allowance for clearances between the window and the jamb. If you have replacement windows, this lock will probably not work for you. You'll need to have wood adjacent to wood only for the lock to work.
Authentic solution for window sash
Comments:
Excellent support for double hung sash and looks good too
Black ornate Sash Stays
Comments:
When sashes are too wide to use the sash barrel pins, these hold the sash well. When the window is closed, the Sash Stay pushes the lower sash in for a tighter fit.
Cost effective reproduction

It's a good cost effective reproduction.
Delighted to find these again!

Happy to see these are still being made. I had one in another window where the rope broke in ancient double hung window. These are better than a stick to hold up window. I probably should have put one on either side for safety sake because the windows are large and heavy. We'll see if I regret the decision. Installation needs to be precise to line up and that's a little tough. Seems to be a good product though.
I've been looking for this for a very long time
Comments:
I've been looking for something for years, other than a piece of wood, that would hold a heavy stained glass window open during the summer. The weights in the frame are not heavy enough but this little device does the trick.
Looks great, but poorly designed.
Comments:
These stays look great & authentic, but the mechanism to engage them is poor. The stay is made up of three separate pieces that are held together by a single small washer. When you engage the stay on the side of the window frame, it creates an outward pressure on the unit. I wound up popping the top piece (the round cover w/ finger latch) off of two of these. Fortunately, I was able to easily return the rest of my order as I ended up not needing them.
No more sticks holding up windows
Comments:
Excellent product. Holds window securely.
Not the best design
Comments:
Looks good, works fairly well BUT... The entire assembly is held together by a single washer which is fitted onto the pivot shaft whic lightly peaned over. Unfortunatly the design is such that as you apply force to the window sash, a side load is developed on the washer resulting in the washer being forced off the shaft and the assembly falling apart. In 17 of 22 installations I have had to solder the washer to the shaft, with limited sucess
