Late Victorian Cast-Iron Decorative Cabinet Slide Latch

I recently restored an old pie safe that had lost any hardware that would have been original. It stiles are thin on this one so I needed something narrower than normal to work properly. What I received first was too wide, (my fault, I forgot to measure) but the return was easy and the new ones look great.

Excellent replica latch. Only two negatives: the back is open (my original is closed) which may rub against the wood, I fear, and the spring is a bit strong compared to my original antique hardware. Still, this allowed me to replace the few missing latches on the China cabinet which I inherited, and even matched the original mounting holes.

Love the product and it looks very authentic! The only thing I would change is the quality of the screws. They stripped very easily.

This was bought for a Buffett type dresser. Very happy with the product.

Used this to replace a couple broken latches in the entryway of my 1860s farmhouse. They blend it well, but are a little bit more substantial than the original ones. They are slightly lighter than I was expecting (color wise) but work well.

Installed on small attic access doors in 1899 house. Appropriate level of decoration - not too ornate (my house is not a Victorian).

I replaced parts on an old fry sink in my family for decades. These parts fit perfectly where the original door handles were. The dry sink is even more lovely now.

Latch is perfect for our firewood box.
