Bath Cabinet Build
Comments:
Own a 113 yr old house and finally got around to redoing upstairs bath room. Had only shelves, (living with 3 women). Made a floor to ceiling (10ft), 32"" X 14"") cabinet with shelves and 4 doors out of 4"" tongue boards to match the walls. Catches were perfect for this project, match the period of the house, finish perfect contrast to eggshell paint, and work great. Price was good. Definately recommend.
Beautiful latches..look great on my hutch doors!!
Comments:
Everything about them is great, I can find no negatives.
beautiful looking but poor operating action
Comments:
Despite a beautiful, solid, weighty appearance, there is very poor slide action when operating it from its knob or just pushing in the spring-loaded latch. Also, there was a defect...a bent screw was attached to the knob and may or may not have contributed to the poor operating slide action of this unit. I returned it immediately for exchange. fingers crossed.
Beautiful vintage inspired hardware!!
Comments:
The vintage inspired latches worked great on the piece I purchased them for and look authentic to the piece! Will definitely buy more for primitive pieces in the future! Great reproduction, quality, ease of installation. A++++
Better than the original.
Comments:
Our kitchen ""units"" are a mishmash of new furniture chain pieces, and old family pieces. The sink unit is a modified Pottery Barn bar/cabinet with cast metal latches, and a mismatched drawer pull. The latches were cast with a brittle alloy which didn't stand up well - one of the latches split. A quick search for a replacement that would match the installation holes (or at least cover them,) match the finish, and coordinate decoratively with the originals produced countless options ranging from under $10 to over $60 per latch. The HoAH latches are a better casting, an excellent finish that isn't chipping, the decoration is almost a perfect match to the drawer pull, and the installation holes were almost aligned - only one didn't line up, but it was covered. They are perfect, so much so that no one in the family has noticed they've been changed.
Bought 2, one is non operating

One of the latches does not slide open all of the way
Cabinet latch
Comments:
I am replacing a latch on an antique corner cabinet, and this latch looks extremely close to the old one that was broken. A perfect fit.
