Excellent replacement choice

Comments:

Works well as a replacement for actual antique covers (c. 1880) because screw holes are farther apart. Wood at original locations is all chewed up.

Good Quality But Not As Described

Comments:

There is a cast vs. stamped thickness mention in the Hardware Tip Section but that does not let you know that this item is not a cast version of it's stamped counterpart. This item has 3/16"" sides, THEN the part that is pictured and described. If you're looking for a match to the Solid Brass Thumb Turn #R-01BM-8832(stamped escutcheon), get the Stamped Brass Oval Keyhole Cover #R-06BM-8836(to match the thin, cast escutcheon you're trying to replace but can't find, new). Also, as with almost ALL HOAH products I've received, you will need to find your own screws, as theirs will be too long, heads too small, brass plated steel or impossible to get an average screwdriver to turn.

I would buy this product again if I needed it

Comments:

I needed to replace one on a door that was missing the eschaton and this one matched perfectly
