Fits the door frame and door perfectly, looks great.

Comments:

Used for a Victorian storm door which is having stained glass installed, I will need another set later for another door, will buy another set of three.

A rare find.

Comments:

Every door in my 1930 home requires a half-mortise hinge. No longer available in stores, you must purchase on line. Price is high for hinges but it's not the seller but the uniqueness of the item, I believe, that sets that price. If keeping a home as close to its original design is important to you, this is your hinge!

Great period matching piece

Comments:

Was a perfect match for an early 1900's house we restored

I had given up

Comments:

We own a 1926 farm style home where most of the hinges were long worn out. Over time I found one or two sets at antique fairs but I usually swapped hinges with other doors and turned them upside down to start the wear process all over. I was elated when I found them here, starting with the bath using polished nickel.

Finally!

Comments:

Love these hinges! I looked all over for them and couldn't find them until I found this website. So glad I did!

beautiful but pricy

Comments:

all old hinges in house are coated with at least a dozen coats of paint and rusted underneath those.never knew of this type of hinge until i actually removed two sets from my door. glad to have found this site to order new. holes didnt quite match up but easy fix with dowel rods into old holes. very nice looking and heavy duty for solid wood doors.

Very satisfied with my purchase

Comments:

I had a very hard time matching the original hardware in my home until I found your site. The hinges I bought are every bit as sturdy as my originals. Well worth the cost!

Just like originals

Perfect match for our 1911 craftsman

Comments:

We needed to find a very specific hinge to fit the existing mortise. Viola! It does. Also the old finish is oil rubbed brass and the match looks like the new hinge has always been there.

half mortise hinges

Comments:

These hinges are hard to find. These are well made at a good price.
