Pair of 2 1/2" Half Surface Cabinet Hinges With Beveled Leaves

I was really happy to find half-mortise hinges to match the ones in my 100+ year old house. The hinges are beautiful. The one really big downside is that House of Antique Hardware only provides 1-1/4"" long screws for these hinges, so if you are using the small (2-1/2"") hinges on cabinet doors, which is really the main application for hinges of this size, you have go out somewhere else to find screws that will not blow through the cabinet door, being most cabinet doors are 3/4"" thick. I just wish they were able to provide appropriate length screws. But, like I said the hinges are beautiful and match my house's other vintage hinges perfectly.

The hinges are lovely, the screws are terrible quality and turned what should have been an easy replacement job into a two day ordeal trying to find screws that wouldn't strip.

This is a High quality hinge. Very well made. Was bigger than the 100 year old cabinet hinge we were matching so did not install them. However they seem to be made very well and have a heavy feel.

I have been looking for hinges like this for 30 years, and finally found them here. When I bought my 1912 Craftsman Bungalow in 1992 one half of a hinge was missing on a window in the laundry room. For years I have been looking in restoration, antique, junk - you name it - stores and online. I finally found these on this Site and figured, ""What the heck, this just might be what I need."" When the hinges arrived I was super impressed with how close they were to the originals. They had all of the same detail and fit with only a little bit of frame modification on my part. Once installed, they worked perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

I ordered 34 pair is these hinges for a period kitchen remodel. The hinges themselves are decent but the provided screws are too long for 3/4"" thick cabinet doors and are of such low quality, the shanks can snap when installing in properly drilled pilot holes. The surface mount leaf of the hinge have slotted screw heads but Phillip head screws for the mortised leaf. Please consider providing shorter quality oval head screws for the surface mount leaf of the hinge and good quality flat headed screws for the mortised leaf. The quality of the hinges themselves is mostly good but I did have a surface mount leaf that was twisted and doesn't lie flat on the face of the cabinet door.

I was so pleased to find authentic hinges to replace old and worn hinges for my home. It took a while to find a supplier, but when I did, you really came through for me. Thanks!
