Dazzling crystal knobs and richly decorated plates make this mortise lock set a wonderful choice for any formal interior. Introduced by Yale & Town around 1910 as part of their popular Flemish Renaissance line, this late Victorian design is every bit as appealing today. A high quality mortise lock with two skeleton keys provides trouble-free performance and privacy. Finely crafted from solid, forged brass, the "Largo" door set will give you a lifetime of beauty and enjoyment.
Door set dimensions: crystal glass octagonal doorknobs measure 2 1/4" across. Back plates are 8 1/4" H x 2 3/4" W.
Mortise lock dimensions: Backset is 2 1/4". Lock case: 4" H x 3" W x 5/8" thick. Lock face plate: 6" H x 7/8" W. Strike plate: 4" H x 7/8" W. Standard door range: 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick.

I am using these to replace door locksets that were ""removed"" by a former occupant. The Largo style matches what was there almost exactly however the mortise lock was a little different in size so i engaged a carpenter to retrofit them as i wasnt confident in my woodworking skills. The quality feel of this item surpasses the original!
