Our New York style back plates are made the old-fashioned way, from heavy-duty stamped sheet brass. Our living antique finish completes the vintage look. The keyhole version works with most new or vintage mortise locks.

Dimensions: 7" H x 2 1/4" W. Inside collar diameter: 5/8". Center to center spacing of keyhole to knob collar: 2 1/4".

Hardware Tip

Pressed brass, also called stamped or wrought, is thin whereas cast and forged brass items are thick.

back plate AND glass door knobs

Comments:

The items listed I had no problem with however the one I did have problems with was omitted. That experience colors the rest!

Beautiful antique Backplates

Comments:

I hunted all over for authentic looking backplates to mirror what I have in the rest of my 1920s brick bungalow. Those that I found were outrageous in their pricing. These have an antiqued finish on them and work perfectly with my reproduction glass knobs. Everyone thinks the pairing is original to the doors that I reused from the original house. Love them.

brass backplate

Comments:

Bought these to replace original hardware from a door I purchased at an antique store. These replacements are exactly like the original.....without the scratches. Nobody can tell they are new.

Excellent Back Plate - nice look

Comments:

Replaced existing antique hardware

great quality on antique style hardware

Comments:

I needed one finish for hall side of door and another finish in the bathroom. The customer service by email was frustrating and of no help whatsoever.

Perfect for our restored bungalow

Comments:

This backplate was the best match to the existing hardware in our 1920's bungalow, which has more luster than oil rubbed bronze. We tried several reproduction sources, and this plate has both the right finish with very good quality!
