Small Cast Brass Cupboard Latch With Oval Turn Piece

I had a falling apart, rotted chest i planned on turning into a sink base. So, my son cut up the top, but due to the structural stuff inside, this was impossible as he broke off the blade! SOOOO, I put the mess together, primed + painted it, tiled the top so you could not see the blade cuts + wood puttied the sides + put in glass flat marbles for trim. The finishing prize was the lovely brass cupboard latch. Everyone who sees it can't believe the transformation. Sometimes being short of money can be rewarding IF you know where to shop + what to do!

The cupboard latch was used on a custom built craftsman style medicine cabinet with fluted glass in the doors. The project was painted white with the latches in polished nichel. The nichel finish yields a warmer finish than chrome.

Nice for the price, but not the highest quality. Looks good on door though.
