Small Cast Brass Cupboard Latch With Oval Turn Piece

These latches look great, but about half of the 9 that I purchased have terrible crunchy action and are stiff to operate. The others were fairly smooth. Also, the threads on the screws were poorly formed. I would have replaced them if they weren't somewhat specialized. I am disappointed in the poor quality control.

Quickly changed out broken latch for this replacement. Perfect fit!

Nice smaller size which I wasn't able to find elsewhere. Still solid with a smooth operation. Blends in nicely with the original hardware in my kitchen!

For cupboards.

Used these latches when renovating 100 year old pantry cupboards that previously had deteriorated brass plated hardware. I needed to tone the down new look by soaking in vinegar and baking soda for a few hours, just so the latches didn't outshine the old cupboards and original solid brass drawer pulls, which worked pretty well. The brass looks great against a dark blue/black paint.

I installed these on several inset cabinet door on a new build. They work great. But as with any face mounted flat head fastener, you must lay them out and pre drill. They give a great look, but are a little more difficult to install.

Really love the way this looks and can't wait to get it installed!
