Description

Our 6-Inch Smooth Flush-Mount Bean Strap Hinges bring Colonial flair to your decor. Made of solid-forged iron, the surface is phosphate treated then lacquered, for rust-resistant, long-lasting wear.

The strap measures 6" long by 13/16" wide and the pad measures 5/8" by 1 3/4". These hinges measure 1/16" in thickness and the hinge pins are not removable.

Hardware Tip

The strap is mounted to the surface of a door and the pad may be surface mounted (full surface) or mortised into the jamb (half surface).

Excellence!

Comments:

I use these hinges on replicas of 18th Century Bible boxes (or document boxes), on which only the best will do. I have been included in the Early American Life Directory of Traditional American Crafts for many years, and I participate in several 18th Century Markets (ex. George Washington's Mount Vernon) each year. I tell you to to emphasize the quality of these hinges!

Great appearance!

Comments:

I used these hinges for a tool chest that will be seen by the public. While I would have preferred slot head screws and chamfered holes, they carry the 19th Century feel I was looking for, I'm very pleased with the result.
