The lock broke after a few months then, as another reviewer stated, the entire mechanism broke and had to be cut out. ruined finish on the actual door getting the lock out.

Worked well for about a year then the internal mechanism broke, locking the door permanently. Had to disassemble to get the door open, thankfully I had a key for the back door.

To save a few dollars, I ordered this model. It looks fine (or did at first) but I have been disappointed in its quality since I installed it. The finish has not been durable, and the handle mechanism does not function well.

Fantastic quality. We used this on our old wood french door with a narrow area for a handle.

The latch is a really nice design and goes well with our new wooden screen door. However, after only a few weeks, the finish on the (outdoor) know started to peel! It's now about 2mm diameter. Not a great start :(

Door set is in constant use due to dogs so we have peace of mind that the door will shut properly.

My house was built in 1933 and has 4 storm doors/entrances with storm doors. I recently had 2 of those created by one of the top door craftsmen on the east coast, who happens to be an hour and a half away, creating them from single sourced African mahogany. These heavy doors are beautiful but needed better hardware than offered from the door maker. After an exhaustive search, I came across these and could NOT be more pleased with how they look, feel and perform..

Not compatible with vintage storm door

Really nice looking. The lock feels sturdy. The backset plate makes it look very polished / finished.
