Cast Iron Rat Tail Casement Latch With Black Powder-coated Finish

Used this hardware as the latch on original floor to ceiling paneled folding doors (1780's) between dining room and parlor. Looks original and is totally Awesome!

I purchased several of these for a project in Mexico we are building. Most of them are not used very often, but the two that are used on a 3 times a week basis, broke within a month. They are made of Pot Metal and break easily. The cost was low for a reason, but as for value, I don't think [$] is worth the 3 to 4 week use. Do not buy this product!

I used this latch along with offset strap hinges and shutter dogs from HAH for interior shutters for a rustic/cabin feel of my adult son's living space. Also used on matching closet doors. The result turned out great. The latches are simple and look incredible.
