Great restoration item
Comments:
Restoration of my 1920's project included a complete redo of basement. These solid brass casement latches, together with solid brass hinges previously purchased from House of Antiques Hardware, gave a quality look to basement which was converted to gym and media area.
Great place to shop for an old home hard

Great quality hardware
Great look, function, and price!

I needed un-lacquered brass hardware and I was able to find it here at a good price.
Better than what's available in Bulgaria

Trying to replace the inexpensive casement window latches in our eastern Europe vacation house. I'd purchased these latches before and was very pleased with the quality.
How do you rate perfect?
Comments:
I bought these to close and latch my interior plantation shutters. They work beautifully and look as if they were part of my house originally. The natural brass finish is gorgeous and will age to match my existing hardware. I'm so pleased I found them! The turning latch seems stiff until after they are mounted. They then work smoothly and easily.

Public relations or service rep is not as helpful as she could be. Talks too quickly and forcibly
Just like the original, but better

We replaced the very old latches on our sidelight windows in our 1928 craftsman. The old latches were sticky and hard to open. These new ones are smooth like butter in comparison! The variety of plates was nice, to guarantee that one option would suit our needs. The oil rubbed bronze finish looks close to black but richer than a true black. Looks good with the black painted hinges we installed.
Great Reproduction Latches
Comments:
These were the lower priced Casement Latches that were offered in antique bronze. I have used a total of 8 on my casement windows and when I get to the restoration of the other rooms I will be re ordering these as well. They came very close to the thickness and quality of the few I had left on my 1930's Spanish Revival home. The finish on the latches are great but can scratches if hit with a screw driver during install. Didn't like the screws that came with the latches. I would have preferred phillips since you can tighten much easier. The screws supplied will strip easily if screwdriver slips. Be careful with install or just replace with your own phillip head screws to make life simpler.

I had to make two small casement windows which included frames, and sash both for a SIRCA 1850's log home. I chose your brass lever latches for this project. They were perfectly matched, heavy to the touch and looked great after installation. The mortise install was used. The homeowner was tickled.
