High Quality Brass

Comments:

This is a high quality latch for the casement windows in my 1907 craftsman. It is a close match to the original hardware on another window in the house. I'm very happy that I could order the product unfinished so I can polish it myself without having to eventually pay for replaying services.

Nice quality and solid build on the casement latches.

Comments:

Very nice casement latches, and prompt delivery from HoAH.

I HAVE bought this product again!

Comments:

I have purchased and used many different items from House of Antique Hardware. All came timely and exactly as described at a fair price. Excellent period reproduction pieces for a 90 year old house!

Good, but not great

Comments:

We purchased these latches to use on cupboard doors in an older home. They work fine for this purpose. Cosmetically, they are very nice. However, the description of them as ""Solid Brass"" seems like a bit of a stretch. While the latch itself is solid brass, the whole turning mechanism is held together with a cheap white metal (steel?) screw that does not feel like it will hold up long-term. I wouldn't use these on windows expecting them to hold up to the forces of wind and nature. We ordered the ""Large Solid Brass Casement Latch"" for use on our windows in the same room. They coordinate nicely and the larger size seems much more sturdily built. They are held together with a steel rivet, rather than a cheap screw.

Heavy duty latches

Comments:

These are nice heavy latches.

Replacements for 1929 hardware

Comments:

See below, service was excellent.

I wanted to love this ... but didn't

Comments:

The product is so cheap it scratches multiple times with installation. The screws are so incredibly cheap that you need to use a hand screwdriver — otherwise the heads break right off. Additionally — the product doesn't fit into the existing slots, so — awkward cutting on the window needs to be done.

Kind of stuck with these

Comments:

Love how the satin nickel latches look on our cabinets, however we are in need of additional screws since a few of them broke (!) while installing. Will have to contact them for more screws to match the finish. We were planning on buying many more for the rest of our kitchen cabinets but may have to look for another source.

Great Casement Latch

Comments:

This is a great latch- high quality and three different installation options for a variety of jamb situations. Installation is easy, but care should be taken in mortising, should that set up be required. The latch has a nice heavy feel to it and operates smoothly. I highly recommend this product.

Great solid quality

Comments:

Love these locks. They made my kitchen Windows look expensive with the detail. They are heavy feeling due to it being made of solid brass. Great plating color too.
