Top quality replacement

Comments:

This is replacing a worn door plate and is an accurate, high-quality replica that works well.

A great match.

Comments:

Very prompt delivery and a perfect match to the 97 year old hardware. Thanks!

Nice lock

Comments:

Needed a vintage looking mortise lock for an interior door. This works perfectly, looks great, and you can tell will last a lifetime.

Front brass plate

Comments:

had to replace old ones after 20 tears of use got tarnish. Solid material but living near salt water takes a toll on how they look

Solid materials

Comments:

This is a great replacement piece but the measurements of the knob and the key hole doesn't match up. Be sure to check your measurements.

matched the bathroom hardware.

Comments:

worked perfectly with the existing lock mechanism.

Good but required some modification

Comments:

This door plate was used to replace a plain door plate with just a keyhole. It was put on a bathroom door which had not had a way of locking the door for over thirty years because there was no thumb turn. This plate worked well except that the spindel on the thumb turn was too long and I had to measure the thickness of the door and cut the spindel so that the door plate would fit flush with the door. It now works great, and people don't have to worry about someone walking in on them.

Contemporary privacy, vintage look

Comments:

For our new powder room in our old house, we wanted an easy-to-use privacy lock BUT with a vintage look. In our upstairs bath we have an old skeleton key in the mortise lockset, but we wanted something more convenient and intuitive for guests. Adding the thumb turn was the perfect solution - guests will know what to do, and we get to use the old-style knob and backplates that we wanted. BUT... wish we'd known that we need a particular kind of mortise lockset, not just the standard kind. Standard doesn't allow you to use the emergency release from the outside. If you have kids you need that! We had to replace the mortise lockset with one that allowed an outside release.

Everything as expected

Comments:

Completes the door and makes it stand out.
