A lovely accent piece that is useful
Comments:
With plaster walls throughout our 1890 Eastlake Victorian, hanging pictures and decorative pieces is a pain. However, using these beautiful hooks with the picture rails already installed, makes hanging our treasures a breeze. These are very similar to the picture hooks that are original to our house.
A real beauty!

We ordered several samples then bought 50 brass Victorian Floral hooks for a job and 10 more for samples. They were the best we could find after an EXTENSIVE search of the web and suppliers. They are longer (1 15/16 inches), stronger (nearly 1/16 inches thick), and are (in proportion) 3/4 inches wide. The shoulder end is a 90-degree cut-off for maximum strength. All hooks are flawlessly smooth and the finish is perfect. We feel it is a heavy-duty hook suitable for hanging large mirrors and pictures (multiple hooks and wire as appropriate). The lady advising me was so helpful that I wrote the House of Antique Hardware to inform them. There was one problem for us who use the standard 2-inch picture rail with a 5/8 inch shoulder and it is seems to be true for every hook on the market. The shoulder end is 1/16 inches too long to fit the 5/8 shoulder and must be ground off to fit securely. 30 seconds grinding time gives the best hook to be had.
Came up a little short

Hooks need to be 2"" long to extend down to the edge of the picture rail. These extend about an inch so the hanging string is not as close to the wall as I'd like. Otherwise a good product at a good price.
exactly what I wanted at a great price

I am interior designer. I incorporated the hooks into a window fashion I designed. She had a picture moulding and I wanted to hang the drapery from it. I wanted to find a nice hook that fit the mood of the project-nice, but not too fancy. She and I were delighted with the product. [...]. I put your site into my favorites list. I will definitely check you out for any project wherein I need a restoration detail. Yours Truly
Great addition to my Victorian Parlor
