Description

Inspired by the hardware of 16th-century England, this banjo strap is ideal for Tudors, French Country or other European-style homes. Its surface is phosphate treated then lacquered, for rust-resistant, long-lasting wear. Use alone or combine with standard butt hinges to simulate a working strap hinge.

For both lengths the width at hinge end is 3" and the maximum width is 10".

Hardware Tip

Forged: Process of forming brass or other metals into a particular shape by heating the metal and hand pounding or cutting with high pressure dies. Items made in this way are very strong and heavy.

A unique dummy strap

The iron hinges look absolutely great on my gothic door.

I have added to and furnished my home in Gothic Revival / Tudor as much as possible. I wish it to be a sanctuary for all who enter. I am doing this through prayer, faith and a positive attitude. I am an interior decorator and I realize how important decorating can be in setting the atmosphere of the home. These black iron hinges on the heavy arched doorway help set this atmosphere of security even though they are strictly decorative.
