Description

The nostalgic Amsterdam design recalls the Dutch colonial hardware of the Hudson River valley. Beautiful, durable and finely crafted from forged brass, it features a true mortise latch with thumb-turn lock bolt. A wonderful choice for Colonial or Craftsman style homes!

This set is designed for use on wood screen doors opening in or out from 7/8" - 1 3/4" in thickness. For thinner doors, simply trim the spindle to the desired length. The backset is 1 1/2".

Dimensions: Backplates - 6" H x 1 1/2" W. Exterior Knob - 1 11/16" diameter. Interior Lever - 2 5/8" L x 2 1/4" projection. Mortise latch case - 2" H x 1 7/8" W x 1/2" thick. Latch faceplate - 3 1/4" H x 3/4" W.

Hardware Tip

Screen Door: Wooden door usually between 7/8" and 1 5/8" thick that has a screen or glass pane.

Amsterdam screen door lock set

Fit my needs for special lock set

Needed a narrow backset and dark finish to use with a door with stained glass panels. This set was just what I needed. I had a ""professional"" install since I don't do much more than hang pictures....

Screen Dood Mortise Lockset

Although I was pleased with the product, the installation would have been easier with a set of instructions, I bought two sets and there was nothing in the box besides the hardware. I had some parts left over which I couldn't figure out what they were for.

Screen door lock set

I called to verify it would work on the 1 1/8 door thickness to be sure and worked as advertised, tried one that was cheaper and i got what i paid for, now very happy, highly recommended, note i used it on a double door so needed the better quality set
